By road from the M25

Leave the M25 at junction 5 and take the A21 south towards Hastings. At Flimwell traffic lights (approx. 25 miles from M25), turn left onto the A268. Carry on until you reach Northiam (about 10 miles). Before you enter Northiam you will cross a narrow bridge and then a level crossing. In Northiam, turn right into Thysell Lane (signposted "Great Dixter"). Continue straight across the crossroads into Ewhurst Lane. Carry on for about 1 mile, at the sharp bend turn left into Tufton Lane, the entrance to The Oast Houses is on the right.

By train

Charing Cross to Staplehurst, Kent. Two trains an hour. Staplehurst is 17 miles from The Oast Houses. Charing Cross to Etchingham, East Sussex. One train an hour. Etchingham is 17 miles from The Oast Houses. There are no taxis waiting at either station, you must either book one to collect you or arrange with other group members to collect you.
